History and Founders

Jordan Teperman is the Executive Vice President of Haven Developments. The Teperman name has been synonymous with the demolition industry in Toronto since 1918 when Sam Teperman founded the company. Jordan is the great-great-grandson of the founder and has followed in his family’s business footsteps. However, after years of tearing down buildings, Jordan shifted his focus from the demolition industry to the construction industry. Jordan believes that the two industries are interrelated as his family’s demolition company got approached by developers eager to develop prime locations that they were demolishing. Paolo Abate is the company’s current CEO and shares the same philosophy as Jordan.

Community Investment

Paolo Abate believes that investing and contributing to the community is crucial in creating a connection with the city. One of the ways Haven Development contributes to the community is through cycling. Haven’s CEO, Paolo Abate, has a passion for cycling and joined the cycling group, Team Revolution. In 2015, Team Revolution successfully raised $1.2 million for the Humber River Hospital through cycling in the Granfondo Terracino competition. In combination with cycling, Haven Development also invests in constructing premium living conditions for residents and building a better life for the community.
